A class like no other, this yoga-adjacent practice will incorporate resistance bands and Yamuna body rolling techniques.
Resistance bands can add challenge and variation to traditional yoga poses, boost body awareness and activate appropriate muscles within poses, improve your body strength, increase mobility, and add the functional movement pattern of pull. Additionally, while using resistance bands, you might discover that traditional poses feel more stable and supported.
Yamuna Body Rolling is rooted in the principles of myofascial release. This is a form of therapy that focuses on the connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles. When the fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can cause stiffness, and limited range of motion. Yamuna Body Rolling provides stretching, compression and sustained pressure into restricted areas of connective tissue in the body to eliminate tension, promote better circulation and restore motion.
Practicing these two techniques together in one class will leave you feeling strong AND supple!
